What is the CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card?

The CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card is designed for individuals who have experience in a specific construction trade and are registered with a valid NVQ or SVQ Level 2 (or higher) qualification in that trade. This card is typically assigned to experienced workers in fields like Painting, Plastering, Carpentry, Bricklaying, etc.

How to Get the Red Experienced Worker Card:

1. Pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Operatives or Specialists – This must be completed within the last 2 years.

2. Be registered with an NVQ or SVQ Level 2 or higher that is acceptable for a CSCS card.

How to Renew the CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card:

• The Red Experienced Worker Card is valid one time only.

• Cardholders are expected to complete their qualification before the card expires and apply for a skilled CSCS card (such as the Blue Skilled Worker Card).

What to Do If Your CSCS Red Experienced Worker Card is Lost or Stolen:

If your card is lost or stolen, you can order a replacement. Simply fill out the Application Form, and a replacement card will be delivered to your address within 5-6 working days.
